Mathematics
As a Reggio Emilia inspired school, we offer the Alberta Mathematics Curriculum in an innovative and creative way. Loose Parts is a way we guide students in learning various math concepts. Based on the learning outcomes from the Alberta Curriculum, we create provocations for our students and provide them with a plethora of material for them to investigate and self learn. By measuring the students' learning and understanding, teachers provide students with a trivia day as a fun alternative to a review. At the end of each month teachers apply a formal evaluation to correctly see where students’ level of understanding lies upon completing the topic.
